These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Trick ("the App"), a productivity application for Mac and iPhone developed and owned by Mainworks Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12191095). By downloading or using Trick, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Description of Service
Trick is a productivity and time management app available on the Mac App Store and the Apple App Store for iPhone. The app offers full-featured access across both platforms and includes cross-device sync, so your data stays up to date whether you are working on your Mac or iPhone.


2. Purchase Terms
Trick is available as a single one-time purchase that grants access to both the Mac and iPhone versions of the app.

  • Combined Mac + iPhone (Mac App Store & Apple App Store): £7.99 GBP (one-time)

  • One purchase grants you a permanent licence to use the App on both Mac and iPhone devices associated with your Apple ID.

  • There is no subscription, no in-app purchases, and no recurring fees of any kind.

  • Purchases are processed via your Apple ID through the Mac App Store or Apple App Store.

  • All sales are final. Refunds are subject to Apple's standard refund policy.

3. Licence Grant
Mainworks Ltd grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Trick on Mac and iPhone devices that you own or control, strictly for personal or internal business purposes and in accordance with these Terms.


4. Licence Restrictions
You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the App

  • Decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code

  • Rent, lease, lend, sublicence, or distribute the App to any third party

  • Use the App in any unlawful manner or for any illegal purpose


5. Ownership
The App is licenced, not sold. Mainworks Ltd retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including any updates, enhancements, and accompanying materials.


6. Cross-Device Sync
Trick supports cross-device synchronisation between Mac and iPhone. Sync functionality requires an active internet connection and may depend on Apple services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted sync and are not liable for data discrepancies arising from sync failures, connectivity issues, or third-party service outages.


7. Data & Privacy
Your data privacy is important to us. As a UK-based business, we comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). We collect and process personal data to deliver our service, including:

  • Usage data: task names, timer info

  • Contact details: if you contact support

8. Intellectual Property
All content in the App and on the website (including text, graphics, UI, code, and branding) is owned by or licenced to Trick and protected under UK and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or exploit any part of the content without written permission.


9. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the App. Specifically, you must not:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App

  • Use the App for illegal or unauthorised purposes

  • Infringe on our intellectual property or that of others


10. Updates & Modifications
We may issue updates, patches, or improvements to the App, which may be installed automatically. We may also modify or discontinue the App at any time without liability.


11. Termination
This agreement is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you breach any of these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete all copies from your devices.


12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trick and Mainworks Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the App, including any issues related to cross-device sync functionality.


13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trick, Mainworks Ltd, and its team from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses resulting from your violation of these Terms.


14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.
